Product Introduction

Dicyandiamide, abbreviated DICY or DCD . It is the dimer of cyanamide and also a cyanogen derivative of guanidine . It is a white crystalline powder. It is Soluble in water, alcohol, ethylene glycol, but almost insoluble in ether and benzene . It’s Non-flammable. Dicyandiamide is a stable substance when it is dry .

Application :

1. Dicyandiamide is used as the raw material of guanidine salts and melamine . It can react with acid to make various guanidine salts. Benzocyanine diamine obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide and phenylnitrile is an intermediate of coatings, laminates and molding powders.

2. Dicyandiamide is used as a mordant. Dicyandiamide resin which is made by the reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde . It can be used as a dye fixative.

3. Dicyandiamide fertilizer: Dicyandiamide compound fertilizer can control the activity of nitrifying bacteria, adjust the transformation speed of nitrogen fertilizer in the soil, reduce the nitrogen loss, and improve the use efficiency of fertilizer.

4. As a fine chemical intermediate. In medicine, it is used to produce nitroguanidine, sulfonamide drugs, etc.

5. Dicyandiamide is also used as a latent curing agent of epoxy resin adhesive to prepare one-component epoxy adhesive.
