Building materials industry: The glass industry is the largest consumer of soda ash, with each ton of glass consuming about 02 tons of soda ash.

Metallurgical industry: It is used as a smelting flux, a flotation agent for ore dressing, and a desulphizer in the process of steel and antimony smelting.

Tanning industry: It is used for the de-fatting of raw hides, the neutralization chrome tanned leather, and to increase the alkalinity of chrome tanned liquors.

Daily chemical field: It is used to produce synthetic detergent additives, such as tripolyphosphate and other sodium phosphate salts, to enhance the cleaning effect of detergents1.

Food industry: Food-grade light anhydrous soda ash is to produce monosodium glutamate, pasta, and other food products, which helps improve the taste and texture of food.

Printing and dyeing industry: It plays crucial role as a softener, cook liquor, emulsified scouring agent, refining agent, etc.
