Appearance: Typically a white crystalline powder, pure dicyandiamide crystals have a certain degree of luster, and under a microscope, show regular crystal shapes.

Solubility: Low solubility in water, at 25℃, about 2.26 grams of dicyandiamide can dissolved in 100 grams of water. It is soluble in hot water, ethanol, acetone, and liquid ammonia, and slightly soluble in ether and benene.

Stability: Stable under normal temperature and pressure, and can be stored for a long time in a dry environment. However, it may undergo chemical reactions under high, humidity, or contact with certain specific substances.

Other properties: It has weak alkalinity and can react with strong acids to form corresponding salts; it can undergo hydroly reactions under acidic or alkaline conditions; it can undergo polymerization reactions under certain conditions, forming polymers such as melamine; it can form complexes with some metal ions.
